Hi Everyone,

I’m so excited to announce my partnership with The Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach. I have always been drawn to Palm Beach as a global destination for timeless luxury and sophistication. When The Royal Poinciana Plaza asked me to collaborate as the 2019 Holiday Reveal Artist, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to turn some of my most iconic photographs into a larger-than-life art installation.

Every year The Royal Poinciana unveils a Surfboard Christmas Tree Installation in collaboration with an artist and this year I was honored to be selected to design the installation. The “tree” is comprised of 52 surfboards, each of which features a different one of my aerial beach images from around the world. However, as a whole, the tree appears as one aerial beach landscape. Since beach photography is one of my signature collections and Palm Beach embraces the beach lifestyle like none other, it felt fitting that the tree should be centered around my A la Plage series. It’s so exciting that we were able to create a three-dimensional installation; its impressive size and the fact that it’s something you can walk around really extends the experience of the brand in a new way. You almost feel as though you’re on one of the beaches.

As for the Holiday Reveal event, The Royal Poinciana went all out to create a complete experience with various “Gray Malin Moments” all throughout the event and plaza. To kick-off the event, I had the privilege of riding on a vintage car with Santa into the event. Santa was even dressed in his best golf attire inspired by this golf scene from my series Gray Malin in Palm Beach.

In the fountain right in front of the Christmas Tree installation, not only did they recreate The Diving Board from my series Far Far Away, but there was also a special performance by the Aqualillies, who were featured in both my Aqua Glam and Gray Malin at the Coral Casino series.

All across the property were many other “Gray Malin Moments” such as over 100 flamingos all over the grass, inspired by my series Gray Malin at the Parker and over 100 multi-colored glowing orbs, inspired by my series Far Far Away.

In addition to all the thoughtful Gray Malin moments, The Royal Poinciana Plaza is also showcasing framed images from my Gray Malin in Palm Beach series at the plaza.

It was such an honor to be asked to translate my beloved aerial beach photography images from around the world onto the property’s iconic surfboard Christmas Tree. And talk about a fun launch event! I hope the dreamy ocean waves, scattered sunbathers, and bright beach umbrellas bring joy and holiday cheer to the wonderful residents and visitors who flock to Palm Beach to celebrate this magical time of year. If you’re in the neighborhood, be sure to stop by!

Cheers!

Xx
