Capturing the essence of a timeless American summer, this series was inspired by the elegance and glamour of synchronized swimming in the early 20th century. Using the Aqualillies as his muse, Gray photographed at the iconic Annenberg swimming pool built in the 1920’s, designed by Julia Morgan who built the world famous pool at the Hearst Castle. Synchronized swimming combines the escape of a day at the pool and the vintage glamour of old Hollywood.
