Will my order be impacted by COVID-19?

At Gray Malin, we regard the safety of our team, our vendor partners, and the communities around us as our top concern. Most of our California based team members are currently working from home. A limited operational team is working out of our Los Angeles studios to continue to fulfill orders. Also our framing and acrylic tray partners are maintaining operations and currently shipping on time. However, small delays with shipping may occur due to high shipping volumes on the networks of our carriers including FedEx, TNT, and DHL. Please contact guestservices@graymalin.com with any questions you may have.

When will I receive my order?

All unframed prints will ship out by Friday of the week print was purchased. For all orders received on Friday we try our best to ship out same-day but cannot make any promises. In that case, orders placed on Friday will ship out the following week. Please see the individual product page on our website for available shipping options and speeds. Please note orders that are placed during a week of a bank holiday will be delayed by a couple of days. For all framed orders, please allow 2–3 weeks until shipment. Small sized framed prints will ship via FedEx Ground within the U.S. and various speeds to select international countries. Medium and Large sized framed prints will ship via FedEx Ground within the U.S. and will be delivered in 2-5 business days, depending on shipment location. For all products, please see the individual product page on our website for more shipping information. All products have a different policy, however most ship FedEx Ground which takes 2–5 business days. Do you ship worldwide?

We are able to ship all prints, and the majority of our products internationally. Our acrylic trays are only able to be shipped within the continental US and Canada at this time. We are able to deliver framed photography within the continental US, Canada, and most European countries at this time. Please note: FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. boxes nor on US Bank holidays.

Why does my credit card keep declining? Please help!

There are several reasons it may not be working:

Billing address mismatch: Most orders decline when the billing name and address you input does not match up with the address on file with your credit card company. Try checking with your bank account online, or your credit card statement, and entering your name and address as it appears there.

Too many attempts: If you have made multiple repeated attempts that declined (typically from a typo or address mismatch in your first attempt), your financial institution may have blocked any purchase from our site on your behalf. This is done to protect the cardholder from fraud and multiple felonious purchases. You will have to wait at least a few hours or you can contact them to have the hold removed.

Browser Issues: If you have already attempted a transaction, please re-boot your browser to clear the cache. Or try a different internet browser.

What is your return policy?

Gray Malin prints and products (excludes trays) are returnable within 5 days of delivery. Funds will be credited in the form of a merchandise credit. Continental U.S. and Canada only, not applicable to Alaska, Hawaii & International orders.

  • Return process must be initiated within 5 days of delivery by contacting Guest Services.
  • Products must be returned unopened, undamaged & in original packaging.
  • Framed & unframed prints must be returned undamaged & in original packaging.
  • Return shipping label will be provided by Guest Services. Shipping charges will be deducted from merchandise credit. Items must be return shipped within 48 hours of label receipt.
  • 30% restocking fee applies to all returned framed photography. Please note for all exchanges, only current promotions may be applied to new orders. Past promotions may not be applied unless an even exchange is initiated.

All Gray Malin prints and products purchased through 3rd party vendors are non-exchangeable and non-returnable through our site. Please refer to the 3rd party vendor's terms and conditions for any issues with your order. 

Do I need to sign for my packaged delivery?

If your order is less than $1000 the package will not require a signature. If your item is over $1000 your package WILL require a signature. The Gray Malin studio is not responsible for any packages that have not been signed for upon delivery.

Do you offer framing?

Yes! Convenient, shipped to your door, framing is only available for our standard size prints. Framing is available for all orders within the continental U.S, Canada, and most European countries. We offer framing for the following countries:

Framing orders shipping to the US and Canada ship from our framing partner in Los Angeles, CA. All European framing orders will ship from our framing partner in Germany. For framing orders delivering to the United Kingdom, Iceland, Norway, and Switzerland, shipments will be subject to a 48-hour window for customs clearance and there may be additional duties due prior to delivery. In this case, the carrier (DHL for small prints and TNT for medium and large prints) will contact you directly via postal mail.

Framed prints come with your choice of matte white finish, matte black finish, or natural wood along with the below assets*:

Hardwood frame moulding in matte white or matte black

UV-blocking acrylic glass, which protects against 91% of UV rays

Heat activated foam board backing

Hardware by size:

  • Small size frames: attached saw-tooth hanger & nail
  • Medium size frames: attached pair of D-rings & two nails
  • Large size frames: attached Wall Buddies and two large nails

Protective paperback finish

Do you offer repairs to damaged frames?

No. If your item is damaged please contact guestservices@graymalin.com within 14 days of your order. We do not repair wear and tear on framed prints past 14 days. Visit our Guest Services page here for more information.

What are the dimensions of the border around the image?

Framed prints come with your choice of matte white finish or matte black finish, along with the below assets*:

All 19" x 13" prints have an approximate 0.75" border. The image size is 17.2" x 11.5". The signature and edition are under the image in the white border. This information is also detailed in the shop.

All 44" x 32" prints have an approximate 4" border. The image size is 36" x 24". The signature and edition are under the image in the white border. This information is also detailed in the shop.

Most 60" x 40" prints have an approximate 4" border. The image size is 56" x 36". The signature and edition are under the image in the white border. This information is also detailed in the shop.

Will my print be signed and/or editioned?

All prints ordered from our website will be signed by the photographer in the lower right corner. All first-edition medium (24" x 36") and large (36" x 54") size prints are edition numbered in the lower left corner. Small prints (11.5" x 17") and second-edition medium (24" x 36") and large (36" x 54") prints are signed but do not have an edition number. Certain small (11.5" x 17") size prints include an edition number– please refer to each image's product page for more specific information and details.

Do you know what edition I will receive?

How do I decide which print/collection will fit me best?

The item I want is sold out/backordered. What now?

We do not re-release or restock limited edition prints once they are sold out. If you are inquiring about a Gray Malin product please email guestservices@graymalin.com.

What if my order is lost?

If by chance a package is lost in transit we are happy to work with you to resolve the issue but we kindly ask that you report it to the carrier FedEx before reaching out to guestservices@graymalin.com.

How can I ensure authenticity of artworks?

Limited edition, large format prints (24" x 36" and over) are shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Do your prices change overtime?

All prices are subject to change. We retain the right to adjust prices at any given moment.

Where can I see Gray Malin work on display?

The work is on display at various locations throughout the globe. Please email us at showroom@graymalin.com to find out if there is a location in your area or to schedule a design consultation appointment at our studio in Los Angeles, CA.

Can I have the Gray Malin Studios create a custom print?

Yes, the Gray Malin Studio is available to create custom prints of images offered on the online store that are between 20" x 30" and 42" x 60". Please email us with the image and custom size you would like at guestservices@graymalin.com.

This is a gift! Do you include the price within the package?

We do not include a price nor an invoice within any of our shipments. If you would like to include a handwritten note within your order, please email your order number and message to guestservices@graymalin.com.

Does Gray Malin donate print for charity?

Yes, on occasion, we donate prints for charities. If you would like to be considered for a donation please fill out this form and we are happy to look at your request. Please note that, unfortunately, we cannot accommodate all requests.

Do you collaborate with other brands/people?

Absolutely. We love collaborating on various projects. If you have an idea or want to discuss a way for us to work together, please email partnerships@graymalin.com.

Can I purchase a hi-res image to print myself or print onto a canvas?

We do not license our images for others to print.

How did you apply the dye on the sheep in the Dream Series?

Consulting with a team of experts, I ventured to rural Australia and worked hand-in-hand with a family of third-generation sheep farmers to bring this series to life. Utilizing a vegetable dye that rinses off with water, the farmers misted each sheep with the same tool they use to administer various protective sprays. We took great care to ensure the safety of the animals in the process.
