Holiday Home Tour: 2024

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my Holiday Home Tour! I'm so excited to give you an inside peek at how I decorate my home for the most wonderful time of the year. From my favorite traditions with my family, I'm sharing all the details on how I make my home feel festive and holiday ready. I hope this post inspires you to decorate your own home or persuades you to give the gift of your favorite getaway to family and friends. Don't miss the Buy More, Save More Sale, happening right now! Enjoy up to 35% off all photography site-wide including framing. Without further ado…let’s deck the halls!

Exterior Decorations

When it comes to outdoor decor, I like to make sure our house feels cheerful and welcoming. Our home has such a stunning exterior that truly evokes joy without decorations, but when it is all lit up with Christmas lights – it is certainly a showstopper! I love to add wreaths to our windows, as well as an ornament adorned garland framing the front door. The garland embellishments add an extra flare with burlap ribbon, pine cones, and various fruit ornaments to make it feel extra special – I particularly love the avocado ornament!

One of the things my mom taught me growing up is that every great home should have a beautiful welcoming entrance. I love changing out the decor on my front entryway table for the different seasons. For the holidays, I chose a beautiful faux floral arrangement from Diane James Home. I also added a couple accent gold reindeers and my favorite snow globe to bring a sense of holiday magic from the moment you walk in.

The Stairway

One of the first prints we hung at our home was Ocean Rain Nantucket leading up our main stairway. I love how this print is so versatile for any season, adds a sense of motion to the walls, and complements the holiday accents around it. I love having garland on the staircase railings because it makes the home feel so cozy and ready for Christmas morning when the kids come down the stairs to see what Santa Claus brought them!

Once you enter our home, one of the first rooms you’ll see is our office which we have made into a cozy holiday hideaway. We added a beautiful christmas tree with presents, as well as some decorative holiday minis throughout the shelves. I also am so in love with the way Spotted at Palais Royal from my Dogs of Paris series looks in this room! It is so fun to walk into this room and see the sun lighting up one of my most recent favorite prints.

The Kitchen

I love styling holiday prints in our kitchen year round to make the space feel extra special. Our kitchen has a traditional and fun blue and white tile that contrasts nicely with this dreamy holiday print, Poolside Holiday. I love how bright and cheerful this print is. We also added some garland around the kitchen windows giving a festive frame around our backyard view which is so nice to look out on as we sip our coffee and eat breakfast with the kids in the morning.

To the side of our kitchen we just got this adorable Serena and Lily blue dresser. I like to make sure there's a touch of Christmas in every part of our home, so I added one of my favorite holiday images, Lakeside Holiday, which I captured near our lake home in Michigan one summer. It is the perfect thing to wake up to when we walk downstairs to get the day started!

Family Traditions

As an official holiday launch at our home, we love to make our favorite festive cocktail recipe for Peppermintinis. We love to sip these delicious and adorable drinks by the Christmas tree - it is easily one of my favorite drinks of the holiday season, and it is the perfect sip to make if you are hosting a holiday party! I've linked the recipe here.

I love sharing family traditions we have with the kids such as these adorable advent calendars that my parents gave us which we reuse every year. They have little doors that fit small trinkets inside so the kids can open one each day as we countdown to Christmas! This year since the kids are getting a bit older, we've also started doing Elf on The Shelf, and they are loving it - not to mention it is working: they are both trying very hard to be on Santa's good list this year!

I hope you all enjoyed this tour and that it helped put you in the holiday spirit. I created a fun Holiday Playlist on our Spotify for all of you to listen to throughout the season. We've had it on repeat in our house and I know you all will love it too.

Happy Holidays!

Xx

Gray
