Get Holiday Ready with Chrissy Marie's Stunning New Home

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to share this beautiful home styling display from the wonderful Chrissy Marie Serrano, just in time for 25% off all photography to inspire your next purchase this holiday season. Chrissy’s timeless style and classic holiday touches brings such a breathtaking aesthetic that has always captured my eye. I was so excited by her interest in my Dogs of Paris and the Dogs of NYC series, and it is so rewarding to see them hanging in her chic atmosphere as I had envisioned when I captured these moments. I'm so thrilled Chrissy was willing to take the time to share her displays with all of us. Without further ado, let's get started!

## We’re so excited to be visiting your home today! Tell us a bit about yourself – can you give us a little peek into what you do?

> Hi! I would be delighted to! My name is Chrissy Marie, and I am a full time blogger and content creator, writing over at Chrissy Marie Blog, my home and lifestyle blog. I write about staying up on current trends in the home design industries, our home renovation, and just generally celebrating the art of making a home beautiful. My blog has given me the opportunity to write about what I love. My blog’s social media account has given me the opportunity to meet interesting people and collaborate with incredible brands - - including one of my very favorites, Gray Malin!

## Your home is so festive for the holidays. What is your vision as you decorate?

> I think festive decorations play a big role in creating lasting memories! It’s that Hallmark Christmas movie feeling everyone wants, right?? My holiday vision feels rooted in childhood. I love a good classic Christmas - not in the sense of those 90s red and green colors, but in the sense of a large, fully decorated tree, the thick swag of a garland down a staircase or a big roaring fire. I never want a room to feel stuffy - so mixing in some blue and white, or fresh touches like a big white fur blanket across a sofa keep it fresh.

## How do you balance your home life with your business?
> I love being busy - I feel restless otherwise. But with 4 kids, a house reno, and a job that never turns “off”, it’s too much sometimes. I think I have a talent for making the most of my time though. Even just driving in the car - I’ve got business podcasts or my kids reading emails out loud or jotting down items on my To Do app for me. But priority number one is my family - I never want the kids to look back and remember their Mom being “too busy”. Gray, you have 2 kids and a busy career - you understand the pull in both directions! This year I started delegating and hiring out - it’s helped free up so much time and is just overall healthier.

## When were you first introduced to the GM brand? What was your first piece?
> Oh I remember lusting over Gray’s iconic aerial beach shots years ago! La Fontelina Loungers was my first print - it gives the Italian Riviera a vintage vibe.

## Can you tell us a little bit more about what inspired your print choices?

> During our house reno I have been working on our guest bedroom. After adding picture frame molding and a coat of Farrow and Ball’s Pidgeon - the room was leaning a bit stuffy. Stuffy is the LAST thing I am, so it was keeping me up at night. Wallpaper on the ceiling felt like the right answer, and of course GM art is the cure for all things too serious! I saw on Instagram he released the Dogs of Paris collection - specifically Spotted at Ladurée, and I was smitten! The last time my husband and I traveled to Paris we stayed just a few blocks away from that famous landmark. The green in the art went so well with Pidgeon; it was meant to be.

## What aspect of the Gray Malin lifestyle brand do you connect with the most?

> I love art that’s happy. Gray’s art is fun, unexpected, and he shares some of the most luxurious places you can travel to. It’s a form of happy escapism. What’s not to love?!

## How would you describe your interior decor style?
SpottedBH2 (1)

> We recently moved into a charming, white brick older home, and over the past year we have been giving it a face lift. The home has traditional bones, so I am honoring the design of the house while bringing my personal style to it. My own style leans lighter; a fresher take on the heaviness of traditional. I want the coziness that warm wood and traditional pieces bring to a room, mixed with light upholstery, and white walls with detailed moldings. Mmm… always a recipe for success!
