Hi Everyone,
Over the holidays, I had the pleasure to finally visit the luxurious island of St. Barths. This had been a long time 'top of the list' destination for me, and I have to say, it did not disappoint. Theisland is a true place of beauty and the moderate amount of difficulty to get there makes it feel like that much more of an indulgenceonce you finally reach it.
From above, St. Barths photography is also a bit difficult to captureas I had to achieve clearance from the government prior to chartering a helicopter, which during this time of year was quite an accomplishmentin itself. My persistence prevailed though and the resulting images are the ultimate reward!

One of the things that I loved the most about St. Barths, other than the stunning teal waters and overall chic atmosphere, was that although it is a luxurious place, the people are very active with surfing and all kinds of ways to enjoy the water. This is why, when introduced to Rebekah of Goldfish Kiss, I knew she would be the perfect person to have one of the first framed images from the St. Barths photography captured during the trip.
Rebekah is a creative jack of all trades but at the heart of it all, she's an island girl who appreciates the enjoyment of simply being in the water.
> "My name is Rebekah Steen, and I currently call Los Angeles home. I piece a bunch of things together for work: Blogging, painting, photography, writing, acting, and graphic design. But to sum it all up: I am a self proclaimed creative gal with an artistic meathead site. In my free time I love to surf, travel, be in the water in any shape or form, hike with my pup, Kili, go to the beach, and workout. I recently had a baby, so the aforementioned free time is minimal, but definitely savored."
> "I really appreciate Gray's zest for adventure, travel, and life. How he can totally capture a place, the vibe, colors, and experience...it makes you feel like you are there, and reminds me of how small I am in this big beautiful world. Plus he shoots the ocean and beaches, which are two of my favorite things. And he just seems like he’s always having fun. "
Talking about her decor inspiration, Rebekah mentioned her preference for natural light and spaces with airy tall ceilings, perfect for lots of fun inspiring art of the walls as well as space for hanging a surf board....and, of course, fresh flowers.
> "I love Gray’s aerial surf shots, but this one – with just a wave, the reef and a single surfer, definitely has a soothing element to it. Ok, and the color of the water perfectly matches this big accent wall I painted. "
Ha! Happy to help pull the room together with the perfectly matching color palette. Playing off that idea, I wanted to share a few more inspirational shots on how to decorate with thenew images from St. Barths.
