I first met Will of the fantastic interior design blog, Bright Bazaar, a couple months ago when he visited me at my studio. Will is London, UK based and other than being a celebratedblogger, he also is an interiors author and journalist, who's first book came out last year. We had been long time social friends and fans of one another but had yet to meet, so when I found out he was going to be in Los Angeles, I invited him in for a tour.
After spending just a few moments on Will's site, it's easy to see that we share asimilar interior decorating approach...neither one of us shy away from the use of color! _"I love to decorate with color and my decorating motto is 'make-you-smile style'._"
As exemplifiedhere in his former London home, Will explains _"I believe embracing color in the home is the best way to make your interior express your personality. My home has a lot of blue and yellow in it as I love the balance that comes from contrasting the cool, relaxing blues with the vibrant and energizing yellow hues."_

Coincidently, during the time of our visit, Will was in the process of decorating his new home and I was releasingnew images from Barcelona and London to my Au Parc series. Naturally, I was happyto share these shots with Will and even happier when he expressed interestin havingNotting Hillhang in his new home; it turns out he also delved a little deeper into a couple other photography series and selected Barcelona Swimmers, as well.
As luck would have it for Will, we were about to begin shipping framed work internationally, so the timing was perfect. And now for a sneak peak into Will's new home, which will be featured in his next book! The two prints chosen are from two cities that are near and dear to his heart. The first, London, isof course where hecalls home with his husband, "_Notting Hillevokes fond memories of times spent exploring one of my favorite - and most colorful - corners of West London,"..._
and as for Barcelona Swimmers, _"Not only is blue is my favorite color but I love to swim and got married to my heartmate in Spain last year, so naturally I was instantly drawn to Gray's eye-catching BarcelonaSwimmersprint."_
I love the way he incorporated his two Gray Malin prints on his walls as well as theuse of yellow, in particular. Will explains _"I love how Gray's photography encourages you to think openly, to dream big and to embrace your imagination. Of course, I adore seeing the hues of the world through his visionary eye, too!_" Well, I'm certainly flatteredand can't wait to see more!
Our story doesn't end there, though. Will's selection of Barcelona Swimmerswas especially poignant as little did we know at the time, our paths would soon cross again.
That's right! Here we are along with Geraldine of Little Big Bell and friends in avintage Cadillac as we traveled from Barcelona to Le Meridien Ra for a day we couldn't even havebegun to imagine!Will along with quite a few otherlovely people were invited tocelebrate the unveiling of my series Poolside, Mediterraneanas well as the ongoing adventuresof Follow Mewith Le Meridien.
Here's a shot of Will snapping pictures of the incredible gallery wall Le Meridien Ra created for the event. It was also the exact location of where this inspired photo series took place, so needless to say...the pool is stunning.
