The Best Hotel Pools in L.A.

The Best Hotel Pools in L.A.

Hi Everyone,

With the summer season nearly upon us, it’s the perfect time of year to soak up the sun. On any given summer weekend, you can almost guarantee to find me lounging by the pool with a cocktail in hand. And, even though I don’t have my own pool in my backyard at home, one of the best parts about living in L.A. is that there are dozens of hotel pools you can escape to at a moment’s notice (not to mention that the weather allows for poolside lounging year-round!). So, today I’ve put together a guide of some of my favorite hotel pools in L.A., including photos and even tips on what to order at the poolside bar. If you’re traveling to L.A. this summer you’ll definitely want to read this… And if you live here, why not take a vacation in your own city? It’s time to make a splash…

## 1.The Standard

The Standard in downtown Los Angeles has cool retro vibes and a great rooftop pool. And during the summer months, you can head to the roof to find DJs spinning party tunes. Get your dance party on with a cocktail in hand and a gorgeous view of downtown L.A. sprawling out in front of you.

## 3. Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel Pool

The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is an iconic Los Angeles staple, and its pool scene is not one to miss. You can spend a relaxing weekday afternoon at the Tropicana Bar, or get your boozy brunch going on the weekend at the pool’s lively party scene. Be sure to sip on their Power Lounger, a pink lemonade vodka cocktail that’s equal parts refreshing and sweet. Non-hotel guests are welcome as long as they spend $25 on food and drinks throughout the day. This spot attracts a major “it” crowd, so keep your eyes peeled—you may even have a celeb sighting or two. Get the scoop on the best pools in L.A. from Gray Malin

## 4. The SLS Hotel, Beverly Hills

Boasting one of the best poolside snack bars in LA, the SLS Hotel’s gorgeously designed Altitude Pool is the place to be during the summer months. You can sunbathe in one of their floating chaise lounge chairs while snacking on eats from celeb chef Jose Andres. Order the crab cake sliders, the Pacific tuna ceviche, and the sangria blanca. ## 5. The Mondrian Los Angeles

Take your Saturday afternoon to the Mondrian’s Skybar for cocktails, tunes and panoramic views of L.A. Each lounge chair has a perfect view of the city and you can order tacos and guacamole to snack on between swims. I love coming to this spot when I need to change up my scenery. You can connect to the wifi and get some work done in one of the most picturesque places in this city. Oh, and don't miss the Big Llama sighting just outside the hotel on Sunset. montage

## 6. Montage Beverly Hills Pool

Nestled in Beverly Hills, just a stone’s throw away from Rodeo Drive, this rooftop pool is swanky and posh, to say the least. Between their saltwater pool, chocolate-covered strawberries delivered right to your chaise lounge and plush robes to slip into after your swim, this spot is nothing but decadent. Now if that doesn’t make you want to take a dip this weekend, I don’t know what will.
