The Anniversary Wall: Notes from Our Community

Over the past 15 years, so many friends of the brand have welcomed my images into their everyday: above a sofa, down a hallway, in a nursery, or center stage over the bar cart.

To celebrate our 15th anniversary, I asked a handful of longtime supporters to share a few lines about their first Gray Malin piece—what drew them to it and what it’s meant in their space. Nothing fancy; just real homes and real stories. I’m so grateful for each note below…and for you.

"The first piece of art I ever purchased was a photograph by Gray from his early days. Now, with several of his works in our home, I love being able to look at each one with a sense of nostalgia, remembering exactly where I was in life when I first discovered it. His artwork is timeless, a true family favorite!"

"I bought this Graceful Glam I print back in 2014 when my husband and I left the city for the suburbs for the first time. We finally had some wall space and I remember finding Gray’s work on a home blog I followed at the time (remember blogs!?). I instantly fell in love and have been collecting his pieces ever since. The synchronized swimmers always have a special place in my heart and have moved with us two times and now live in our forever home!"

" My first of many Gray Malin prints is an image of Bora Bora. It was the one year anniversary gift for my home and husband at the time. We spent our honeymoon in Bora Bora, and Gray perfectly captured the magic of the water and diving experience that so specifically defines the polynesian island. Now, almost 15 years later, it has the happiest home (with many GM prints in the same hallway) near my childrens’ rooms. It tells the story of our magical adventures, which ultimately brought them into the world, and all of us exactly where we’re supposed to be today."

‘My Gray Malin prints have moved with us from LA to London - I have a few and honestly can’t remember the first. But I always gravitate towards his Miami Beach shots. Some of his earliest pics I think. There’s a nostalgia to them. But knowing Gray and Jeff personally, and what kind humans they are, makes me love the artwork even more.”

Sarah Levy

"Our first print of Gray’s was one I actually spotted in his home originally. It was so simple and playful and as a wild dessert lover, I knew it was meant to be mine. It’s still one my favorite pieces, no matter which space it’s been in."

Joy Cho

"What a joy it has been to have Gray Malin artwork in my home all these years! I’ve been a fan of Gray’s work since Day 1, and instantly fell in love with the juxtaposition of nature with whimsy in his photos. The way Gray sees and captures moments is like no one else! Happy Anniversary! We’re so glad you’re here"

"Congratulations again on 15 years Gray - what a milestone! In our home, your work has become part of the fabric of daily life. My girls especially love your Dogs book - it’s one of their favorite stories to pull down from the shelf. The images bring them so much joy that reading it together has become a little family ritual.

It’s a reminder that beauty and play can live in the same frame, and that’s what your work has always meant in our space: a daily lift of spirit and color.

Thanks for letting us be a small part of celebrating your journey."

It's a true honor to be a small part of your life's journey and to know that my work brings a little bit of that magic and joy into your everyday.

I'm so grateful to each of you for sharing these beautiful notes. They are a wonderful reminder of why I do what I do. Here's to many more years of creating, collecting, and celebrating life's moments.
