Summer on Lake Michigan

Summer on Lake Michigan

Hi everyone!

Every summer, I look forward to our time on Lake Michigan. It’s become such a special place for me — not only because of its beauty but because of the memories my family and I keep making there year after year. This season was no different. We soaked up every sunlit day on the water… and every marshmallow we could manage around the fire.

The simplest moments ended up being the ones we loved most: kayaking across glassy water in the mornings, biking along the shore in the afternoons, and s’mores in the evenings. Let’s just say the ratio of chocolate to graham cracker may never be the same in our household again. And truly, there’s something about the light on the water here that feels magical — the kind of beauty you really have to see in person.

Of course, no summer would be complete without plenty of time with friends. Boat days, great meals, and hours of laughter filled our calendar, creating memories I know we’ll carry for years to come. One of the best parts was watching Max and Dove enjoy these simple joys of childhood summer — the very same kind of moments I remember from my own youth and now have the privilege of sharing with them!

Jeff and I also found time to enjoy a few tennis matches in the sunshine, which has become one of our little traditions whenever we’re here. The balance of activity and relaxation is what makes Lake Michigan so special to us — a place where we can recharge, reconnect, and simply be together as a family.

As summer comes to a close, I’m reminded of how important it is to savor these fleeting days. Lake Michigan has once again given us a season filled with beauty, joy, and connection, and I’m already looking forward to the next time we return. And if you’re looking for a way to hold onto these moments, we’re offering free framing for a limited time — the perfect chance to bring home your favorite print and mark the end of summer.

Until next summer, Lake Michigan!

xoxo,
Gray
