Primary Bedroom & Bathroom

Primary Bedroom & Bathroom

Hi Friends,

I’m so excited to finally be able to share more of the details about The Gray Malin Getaway House with you all. Bookings are now open for the house! You can find out more about the property and book it here. I wanted to start with the rooms that truly encapsulates everyday being a getaway – the primary bedroom and bathroom.

This room didn’t have a massive update like a few of the others, but the paint and wallpaper made a massive difference. Because the ceilings were so high in this room we wanted to utilize the vertical space by adding a canopy bed and a captivating light fixture.

We selected artwork for the bedroom before starting the design, and I knew I wanted it all to be coastal Italian. It’s one of my favorite places to escape to, so I thought it would be perfect for this bedroom. With soaring, vaulted ceilings the primary bedroom feels spacious while still being cozy.

The grass-clothed wallpaper with the blue accents play into the artwork and the coastal theme so well – the combo reminds me of the sand and ocean. In addition to the two armchairs, we added a window nook to slowly start your morning while sipping a coffee.

I love how little changed in this before and after – it shows how shifting small things in a space can be so impactful. Design wise, the tryptic mirrors make the space feel more divided with the sinks and vanity.

No primary bedroom is complete without a bathroom that is just as well thought out. I know how frustrating it can be to stay at a property with limited counter space, so we made sure to include plenty of it in this bathroom. We added sconces to the vanity because we know how important lighting is while getting ready.

All the bathrooms at the house are fitted with plush towels and robes from Weezie Towels. Each bathroom has its own color scheme of towels to keep things from getting mixed up. We chose blue for this bathroom to reflect the paint and tie in with the florals from Diane James Home. The bathrooms also have an assortment of bath products from goop.

I can’t wait to share more details of the house with you over the next few weeks. If you want to book your stay at The Gray Malin Getaway House you can here.

xx Gray
