Long Weekend Packing List

Hello, long weekend! Not only is Memorial Day on Monday, but it’s also the kickoff of summer Fridays for a lot of you. If you’re lucky enough to have an office that will be shutting down a couple of hours early on Friday like the GM HQ, you probably have lots of weekend getaways planned between now and Labor Day. (And if you’re not one of the lucky ones whose office participates in this summer tradition, we certainly won’t tell if you decide to play hooky during a couple of Fridays this summer…) So with that in mind, today we wanted to share our long weekend packing list. The art of packing for a two- or three-day trip can actually be trickier than packing for a big vacation. Since you probably want to limit your luggage to a weekender bag or a single carry-on size suitcase, you have to be strategic about what you bring with you. There’s no sense in overdoing it if you’re only gone for a couple of nights. For the ladies that means dresses that can easily transition from day to night, and for the gents we’d recommend a single pair each of pants and shorts, and some stylish shirts that go with either.
