I wanted to take a moment to share the beautiful home of Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt, just in time for our largest sale of the summer. I am so thankful Katherine welcomed us into her gorgeous beachside bungalow, and I am excited to share how I first met this wonderful, talented friend of mine. Katherine and her mother, Maria Shriver, came into my life early on in my career, when they came to my first studio (in my garage!) to look at my work and pick out a piece. They also came to the launch party for my first book Beaches, and over the years have been so sweet and supportive. Katherine also joined me on my virtual book tour during the pandemic for Gray Malin: The Essential Collection, and I have loved seeing her grow as an author, a mother, and a wonderful role model for so many people out there. Without further ado, let’s get started!
## We’re so excited to be visiting your gorgeous beach bungalow today, can you tell us a little more about it?
> I bought this home and lived here when I was single in my mid-20s, just me and Maverick my dog. I have always found it to be such a wonderful and peaceful place. I grew up in this neighborhood, so being able to live here for a bit was such a gift. My whole family lives in the area, so everyone has been able to visit this bungalow at different times. I have had friends stay here and also guests who rent it. It’s also a great place to disconnect from the outside world - I wrote *The Gift of Forgiveness* here, and I was able to focus and do a lot of my best writing in this space.

## Can you tell us a bit more about what you’re working on currently for your career?
> My second children’s book, *Goodnight, Sister*, came out earlier this year, so I am still happily enjoying talking about that book and spreading the message of sisterhood. I based the book on my relationship with my younger sister, Christina. Now that I am a mother of two daughters myself, it has made this book journey so special and exciting. I am working on another book now and look forward to that coming out soon. I host a weekly Instagram Live series called BDA Baby (Before, During and After Baby), and I truly love being able to speak to different people and experts each week. We discuss motherhood, pregnancy, postpartum, and all that comes into play when raising a family. It’s a space that I am constantly learning more about, and I love hearing peoples own journeys.
## What is the next piece of GM art you hope to add to your collection or to include at this property?
> Honestly, anything that Gray works on I love and I think for this home any of his beach pictures from Australia really fit, and always take me to a place of calm whenever I look at them.
## How would you describe your home design style?
> I would describe it as clean, simple, with a touch of my own personal style. This bungalow for sure has a beachy vibe to it, as well.
## What would you say is the “theme” of this home?
> Calm beachy oasis. It’s very quiet and tranquil here.
## What aspect of the Gray Malin lifestyle brand do you connect with the most?
> Probably the ability to stick to a theme. Most of the artwork in this house is all beach themed, and it goes perfectly with the home and the mindset I want to be in and feel when staying here. I love stepping into this home and feeling like you are sort of taken to a fun, peaceful place - I think Gray’s artwork totally does that as well. I also love the colors he uses in his collection and the tone of each image that he captures.
