Today's Home TourSpotlight is a beauty inside and out,Kaitlynn Carter. This Malibu dweller keeps herself_plenty_busy with her namesake blog - Kaitlynn Carter -and her new entrepreneur status with the launch of,Foray Collective, an online fashion collective.
I first became acquaintedwith Kaitlynn when I heard she was interested in a large framed piece from the DREAM series for her andfiancé,Brody Jenner'shome. This is a special series to me as it represents my desire to inspire others to stand out from a crowd, so it always makes me happy to hear when someone connects to it.
I especially love that shechose the printDREAMin large with a black frame for their bedroom. It really couldn't be a better choice, in my opinion.

Chatting withKaitlynn, she shared a little bit about why shechoose this print and her overall approach to decor...
> "I like very clean, fresh looking spaces. Lots of white, accented by green plants, high ceilings and plenty of natural light. I like a cozy, cottage feel too, and love to incorporate personal touches (e.g. objects we've collected on our travels, artwork from my hometown)."
> "I love the juxtaposition of the colorful sheep with the black, white and grey's of our bedroom. Also, I had never seen anything like it. I just fell in love!"
Kaitlynn continued, sweetly tellingme about what she likes about my work..
> "The unique perspective, playfulness, sophistication -- these are all things I aspire to and admire in Gray's work. I think I would be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't connect with at least one of his pieces. They're all so exceptional!"
As we walked through the rest of their home, I could see what Kaitlynn meant about working with whites and neutrals, as well as incorporating personal touches throughout the house. There were a lot of comfy and welcoming pieces of furniture paired with cute accents that naturally lead to asking...."Where do you get this?" and the inevitably personalized story that came with it.

When I asked where her happy place was though, she had this to say...
> "My backyard at home. I love to lay in our hammock and look for shooting stars at night."
Strolling around outside, I could see that their backyard is perfect for such a kind of night. I think it's safe to say that she probablylikes having Brody and their three pups join, too. We're missing their third dog in this one, but couldn't resist sharing this one. Clearly, I love dogs almost as much as home decor stories because...just look at this photo!
