I hope you all have had a chance to explore my latest series, Gray Malin on Nantucket. After capturing the magic of Nantucket from above a few years back, I knew I wanted to continue to showcase the beauty of this coastal paradise. Featuring dreamy beachside vignettes, vintage props, charming pups, and gorgeous floral arrangements, I hope this series unlocks joyful moments and summer memories for you, while transporting you to the picturesque setting of New England.

I shot this series in June 2021, which was definitely a great time to go visit, as it is right before the peak of summer. Nantucket is one of those places that offers some of the most stunning visuals in any season - but the summers do get very humid and hot - perfect for days spent at the beach and a rose on ice at night! Be sure to check out my city guide to explore some of my favorite places to sip and play during your visit!
This stunning shot was taken inside a new local friend's house Brooke, who was also the owner of the adorable blue Jolly car featured in this series!
When scouting Nantucket, we made sure to meet with locals and take note of some of the most iconic Nantucket locations. The most popular locations were Brant Point Lighthouse, as well as Sankaty Lighthouse, so I wanted to add a bit of GM vintage flare to each of these.
We were lucky enough to capture the Brant Point Lighthouse when there was a stunning floral custom wreath that hung on the lighthouse for only one week of the summer! Typically, there is an American flag, but we came to photograph this lighthouse at the perfect time. I even propped up on a ladder in the water to ensure I could get this exact dreamy shot!
We were so lucky to work with locals to help source unique vintage cars, as well as some adorablepups! We were so lucky to have a dog named Angus join the Beach scenes and he ended up becoming a star, as seen in Beach Bronco Pup Vertical, Nantucket
Another adorable furry friend featured in this series was a Golden Retriever named Wills, who is a puppy of a local friend of mine, Meredith! Her sweet pup was in our limited edition Christmas print last year, Holiday Pup, as well as in Mary Slade Cottage, Nantucket.
We had also planned to shoot Willis on the Endeavor, a famous sailboat, but unfortunately it ended up raining during the ride, so the shot didn't turn out how I had imagined. But isn't he so cute posing anyway?
This breathtaking shot couldn't have happened without another special local friend of mine, Hafsa, who helped with all the floral stylings in the series, and also gave us amazing food and location recommendations that are hot spots for Nantucket regulars.
Another interesting fun fact about this shoot is we were shooting during summer solstice, so we really made the most of the long days. On the longest day of the year during our shoot, call times were as early as 4 AM and we wrapped at 8:30 PM!
To celebrate the shoot, we had a festive team dinner at CRU, one of the most iconic restaurants on the island, where this cheersing picture was captured.
I love getting to share these behind-the-scenes moments with you all after each of my series releases. Since I can't bring all of you on set with me, this is the next best thing! It also gives me the chance to look back on my process and reflect on the memories. Do you have a favorite image from the series? You can explore all of Gray Malin on Nantucket images here.
Cheers!
