Get Inspired with This Colorful Nursery

Hi Everyone!

Who's ready for some home decor inspiration? We are so excited to share this darling nursery from interior designer Yancey Seibert Shearouse of Yancey Seibert Shearouse Interior Design. We love how she styled her colorful prints from Gray's Parker series to contrast with the wallpaper, drapes and animal centric accessories in the room.

## Please tell us a little about yourself - where you live, what you like to do for fun, etc
> We are based in Augusta, GA and are lucky to be so close to the mountains and the coast. I head to the Low Country in Beaufort, SC and Christina loves the mountains of Highlands, NC.

## Your career is pretty multi-faceted, could you tell us a little bit about what all you do?
> We do it all! Residential, commercial, small jobs, whole house jobs...you name it. Boredom is not on our list. We also don't do the same look for any client, so that keeps us on our toes.

## When did you launch your company? What was the catalyst behind creating it? How has your journey been creating and running this business?
> I started working on projects in my hometown of Natchez, Mississippi the summer after my junior year at Ole Miss. Yancey Seibert Interior Design was created after I graduated in 1997...so 25 years of design. The business has changed so much in 25 years and so have I! I tell the team that if you haven't learned something today, you haven't worked. Everyday is an opportunity to get better and learn from contractors, books, other designers and especially clients.

## Will you tell us a little bit about this home?
> The nursery is in an older home in Augusta. It was added to and reimagined over many years before our client purchased it. They love color and pattern and wanted to have a fun nursery that would grow with their son. It is a room with seven openings and not much closet. We painted and papered everything we could! Gray's photographs have a whimsy that encourages a second look and they glow. Seriously. We love to incorporate them into spaces that need an extra punch of silliness and texture. How can you not like a lion with a crown or an elephant walking down a lane of balloons. They make you smile, are classics and I think grow with the client.

## How would you describe your interior decor style?
> Our interior decor style is a fresh take on traditional design with a southern, irreverent wink.

## How do you balance your home life with your business?
> We love what we do and work really hard...but try not to work on Fridays. It keeps the work/life balance achievable and you are ready to get back into the office Monday morning.

## When were you first introduced to the GM brand? What was your first piece?
> Christina has been a Gray Malin fan for years and we started incorporating his pieces in 2015.

## What was the thinking behind each selection of prints?
> Each piece is selected for the subject matter and because of the client's likes. We try to encourage clients to purchase art in their travels...and if they don't...a Gray Malin will definitely suffice!! We select pups for dog lovers, glam shots for teenagers, animal photos for play spaces and beach photos for their colors! They are in bathrooms, bedrooms, family rooms...you name it.

## What about the Gray Malin lifestyle brand do you connect with?
> We love the behind the scenes on how he was able to get the shot. It is wild to see him hanging out of a helicopter or how he got the dogs to keep their sunglasses to stay.

## Anything else you’d like us to share?
> We think Gray is such a chronicler of happiness in life. His photographs make us smile, take us to the places we have been or the places we want to go, and brighten every space they are placed.

So, what do you think? Are you feeling inspired to add some color to a corner of your home? You can shop Gray's Parker series here.
