But we’ll share our go-to secret with you—in cases like these, we let the art do the talking. Some people like to design entire spaces around a rug they couldn’t live without, or a gorgeous sofa that caught their eye. But when it comes to the dining room, we find that the artwork is almost always the easiest place to start. First and foremost, we chose one of Gray’s newest pieces from the Marfa desert to inspire our design. We’re obsessed with the detail of the rainbow cowboy hats in this shot, yet the overall vibe is neutral enough to go any which way when incorporated into your design.
