Hi Everyone,

I’m so excited to finally welcome you to my latest project, The Gray Malin Cabana at The Beverly Hills Hotel. About a year ago, I had this wild idea about how we could bring the Gray Malin brand to life and The Beverly Hills Hotel, home of one of my series, seemed like the perfect fit. We partnered with one of my favorite brands, Serena & Lily for all of the furnishings and created the perfect poolside retreat for you to enjoy with all your friends this summer. Watching this project come to life was such a dream and I’m thrilled to finally get to share it with you.

When we began this project, I knew one thing was absolutely crucial. Aside from hanging some of my favorite pieces from my series, Gray Malin at The Beverly Hills Hotel, I knew we had to use the iconic Martinique wallpaper from CW Stockwell that has over time become synonymous with this infamous property. We played around with different colorways, but the classic green was the clear winner. It makes a statement and makes you feel like you’re in a coastal paradise.

The custom awning was another focal point of the cabana. I wanted this space to really stand out among the others and the pink and white cabana stripes did just the trick.

After we were settled on the pink and green color scheme, I worked very closely with the team at Serena & Lily to select all the furnishings of the space. My three favorite pieces we picked for the cabana are the Capistrano Hanging Chair, the Mercer Console, and thePacifica Sofa. The natural elements in these pieces, like the rattan and wicker, really help to ground the design and give this cabana an overall vacation feel. I love how even though everything feels very elevated, it’s a place you can kick your feet up, relax, and get rid of all your worries.

One of my favorite corners of the cabana is the vintage suitcases on the bamboo luggage rack. This corner is reminiscent of the jetset lifestyle I try to capture in all of my photography. The pink telephone on top pays homage to my photograph, California Girl, Beverly Hills Hotel, so you can create your own Gray Malin photo moment in the cabana!

When it came down to choosing the art for the Cabana, I wanted to choose pieces that were inviting and set the tone for a relaxing day. I chose ‘Meet Me at The Beverly Hills Hotel’ for the main wall because I love how it captures the iconic front entryway of the hotel. ‘Lounging Ladies’ was a no brainer because it represents exactly what you all should be doing while enjoying the cabana—relaxing! I complimented those prints with ‘California Cruising,’ because it reminded me of arriving at the hotel on a warm summer day ready to soak up the sun poolside.

While you’re enjoying your stay at the hotel, stop by the gift shop to discover our fun display and pick up a product or two to remember your adventure by.
