Hi Everybody!

I am very excited to share with you something that has been a dream of mine for years. Over the past couple of years, I have been working on creating a career retrospective that I’m so excited to finally get to share with all of you! The book is called Gray Malin: The Essential Collection and celebrates the first decade of my career—from how I got started to behind the scenes stories of some of my most iconic work. It even includes images that have never been released!

I wanted to create a book that would be just as inspiring as it is beautiful. As you read through the over 350 pages, you will discover an inspiring story about chasing your dreams and taking risks. As you can see, the cover features one of my favorite images of all time, Llamas Black and White Balloons, which I shot on the salt flats in Bolivia. You will also notice the book is wrapped in premium black book cloth, which will hold up nicely for years and won’t show any dirt or marks. It also has this fun little magenta ribbon that adds a pop of color and of course helps keep your place as you read along!

I’m so sad that I won’t be able to meet everyone in person this year on a book tour, so I wanted to do a little something special for all of you. The book is available for pre-order starting today and all early pre-orders will receive a special edition bookplate signed by me while supplies last! Additionally, I’m working with Zoom to launch a virtual book tour, which I can’t wait to share more details on soon!

I know I personally enjoy making my home a reflection of myself and my interests; on my shelves you can find work of many artists I admire. I hope you are all able to find your daily escape through my photographs and NOW through this book, which will hopefully make its way onto your shelves soon!
