Hi Everyone,

As you may have heard, my very first children's book, Be Our Guest!, was officially released on May 1st. Well, to celebrate, I kicked off last week with an in-store event at Jonathan Adler's store on Madison Avenue in NYC.I wasso excited to celebrate the launchwith JonathenAdler ashis work as the interior designer for the hotel, Parker Palm Springs, plays aninstrumental role in my series that inspired the book - Gray Malin at the Parker. The fun didn't stop there, though! The next day, I was off to Chicago for a signing followed by Dallas on Wednesday. To cap off the week, I held a small party at the GM Studio in LA, with a very special guest and star of the book - Maurice the Monkey!

To help co-host, I recruited my friend Elizabeth Chambers; together, we had a blast celebrating the launch of the book with friends and their little ones.

Needless to say, Maurice stole the show...but that was to be expected!

MONKEYING AROUND

It was so amazing to see Whitney Port and meet her little guy, Sonny. Considering he already has a framed print from the Parker series, it was only appropriate for him to be in attendance. I hope he's enjoying his copy of Be Our Guest! but I think it's safe to say (at least for right now) he's a bit more mesmorized by Maurice. Lucky for him, he gotto take home ourcollector's edition set, which includes his very own Maurice.

Angela Fink also swung by, which was awesome, as the last time I saw her she was still pregnant with this beautiful little doll.

Ilana Saul with her cutie, Eden..who's room you've seen here.

As well as, Emily Schuman, who's another friend who's daughter I hadn't had the pleasure of meeting, until this day.

Ian and Erin Ziering, along with their two daughters in tow, had some family fun with Maurice...and I think Maurice enjoyed Erin's hair quite a bit, too.

REFRESHMENTS & ENTERTAINMENT

Did I mention that while I was in NY, I got a chance to see my mega-talented friend, Darcy Miller? I did, and she surprised me with a celebratory luncheoun at her home. To top it off,a BOG! custom cake! Click HERE for all the details on it, including a step by step on how to recreate the Cake Toppers...which I attempted below.

It's almost too cute to eat...almost. Then, we also had an expert animal balloon maker..that's the technical name for it, right?
