Whit the Christmas holiday upon us, may we suggest indulging in a little R&R with one of ourGray Malin puzzles? It's been a few months since their release and we still haven’t tired of them. With not one, but two, fine art photography prints captured on each puzzle, this is the kind ofbreak we need (and deserve!).

That said, with our puzzle obsession on the rise, we thought we’d do a little bit of research and round up 10 of the most unique puzzles for adults we could find. We hope you’re just as intrigued by them as we are, and that you pick up one or two for yourself. Let’s just say these 10 puzzles will leave you scratching your head and determined to place that last piece, no matter what it takes… Not to mention, these picks are pretty beautiful, if you ask us! But we’ll let you make the final decision.

1. The Beach Two-Sided Puzzle, $25

We instantly fell in love with Gray’s new double-sided puzzles and we think they’ll capture your heart too. Put together one of Gray’s signature sandy beach prints on one side, or turn it over to reveal snorkelers in Bora Bora. Either way, you’ll never be bored, and it also makes for the perfect gift for any puzzle or fine art photography lover.

2. Geode Puzzles, $65

These geode puzzles are entrancing on their own, but what makes them even more unusual and fun are the uniquely shaped puzzle pieces they’re made of. The irregular border will be a challenge for anyone, and the wild puzzle pieces make each move even more unexpected.

3. Wheat Field with Cypresses Wooden Puzzle, $95

Sure, Van Gogh’s paintings have been made into puzzles time and time again, but take one look closer at this one and you’ll quickly see why it is next-level. Not only is it made out of plywood for an even higher quality game, but each puzzle piece is carefully cut into fun, squiggly shapes—some even resembling things like a man on a bicycle, animals, and a couple running hand-in-hand.

4. 1000 Colors Puzzle, $48

Anyone can put together a puzzle with an image… but what about a puzzle that’s strictly made of CMYK colors? For any puzzle buff who is itching to up their skills, this puzzle is a must. Want to really challenge yourself? They also have an iridescent, color-changing version… Good luck with that one.

5. New York Times Custom Front Page Puzzle, $49.95

Whether you’re a history buff or you’re just looking for a unique puzzle, this New York Times front page puzzle is such a fun addition to any collection. Plus, you can choose for your puzzle to be made from any New York Times front page article dating back to 1851. Pretty cool, right?

6. Infinite Galaxy Puzzle 2, $120

Made from a real photo of Westerland 2 from the Hubble telescope, this galaxy puzzle is just as perplexing and complicated as space itself. The pieces can fit on the left side OR the right side, depending on how you flip them, meaning there is literally no beginning or end to this puzzle. (We know, it hurts our brains too.)

7. Leaf-Shaped Puzzle in Autumn Shoreline, $10.88

No easy straight border pieces here! This puzzle is perfect for the fall season, and the whimsical image will keep you guesses what goes where from beginning to end.

8. Wooden Aztec Fractal Puzzle, $60

If clean lines and right angles are your idea of relaxing, then look no further than this single-color puzzle inspired by the Aztecs. It is sure to be a fun game for anyone who is up to the challenge.

9. Birthstone & Zodiac Double-Sided Puzzle, $16

Any zodiac enthusiasts out there? The back side of this puzzle features all the zodiac signs, and can also be flipped over to assemble an image of the birthstones for each month of the year. Gotta love two puzzles for the price of one!

10. Amoeba Puzzle, $55

Another plywood option with crazy-shaped pieces, this amoeba puzzle is sure to make YOU puzzled. But we have to admit, it looks pretty fun and it would make quite the modern statement if you decide to leave this finished masterpiece out on the table for a few days.

Which of these puzzles is your favorite?

We may have to pick up more than one for ourselves… Don’t forget to shop our brand new beach puzzle and snow puzzle before you go!

Until next time,
